Penjaringan SDA Overcomes Inundation on Jalan Muara Baru

The Implementation Unit for the Penjaringan Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency, North Jakarta, activated mobile pumps to handle inundation at three points on Jalan Muara Baru, RW 17, Penjaringan Urban Village.

The water level is from five to 35 centimeters

Penjaringan Sub-district SDA Executing Unit Head, Pendi said the location currently being handled was precisely in front of the Pluit Sea View Apartment, in front of the entrance to Nizam Zaman Port and Gang Marlina.

"This inundation was triggered by rain that occurred since early morning, causing overflowing waters from channels. The water level is from five to 35 centimeters," he expressed, Wednesday (2/28).

Channel Improvement on Jalan Pahlawan Completed

To handle inundation at Gang Marlima, three mobile pumps to the location. Then two were deployed to in front of the Pluit Sea View Apartment and in front of the entrance to Nizam Zaman Port.

"It involves two personnel of PPSU. They are still continuing to suck up water runoff and clean storm drains," he explained.

Penjaringan Urban Village Head, Makhrus Nugroho Darojat expressed ten personnel were deployed to such areas.

"Current conditions have begun to gradually subside. Thank you to the SDA personnel who were alert in operating the mobile pump when there was inundation," he said.
